Expecting an Innovative Cooperation Model through Knowledge and Information Resource Sharing
On June 27, Yonsei University and the National Library of Korea signed the "Agreement on Knowledge Information Resource Sharing and Exchange Cooperation."
Through this agreement, the two institutions will actively cooperate in academic activities and information exchange fields such as production and joint use of content using advanced technologies such as AI and VR, research and development using library data, research cooperation, and joint hosting seminars.
In particular, they agreed to cooperate closely not only in using traditional library materials but also in the field of realistic content that provides new intellectual stimulation by combining state-of-the-art realistic media technologies such as VR and AR and data mining using library data.
"We hope that the cooperation between Yonsei University, the best private university in Korea, and the National Library, the nation's representative library, will improve the quality of university education by jointly utilizing data and realistic contents held by both institutions," said President Seoung Hwan Suh of Yonsei University, "And make an innovative cooperation model that preemptively responds to changes in the educational paradigm caused by COVID-19."
