Yonsei UIC Students Tackle Social Issues in Tanzania with Design Thinking
Twenty-five Yonsei students and faculty embarked to Tanzania to participate in the Design Factory Korea Social Impact Boot Camp held at Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology last summer. Themed “Design Thinking for Social Innovation,” the four-day workshop aimed to create an opportunity to become familiarized with the design thinking process to tackle social issues in a practical manner.

Finding the Sweet Spot in Entrepreneurship
According to Kim Kyungha (entering year of ’04, Urban Planning & Engineering), CEO of cafe and bakery brand DORÉ DORÉ, “Mahogany Café was created with the concept of “Coffee For All,” where anyone and everyone can gather together.” She hopes that the Mahogany Café on Yonsei University’s campus can become a space where students can go to study or unwind even if they don’t order coffee.
