Institute of Continuing Education for the Future Establishes Smart Media Education Center

The Yonsei Institute of Continuing Education for the Future has established the Smart Media Education Center (SMEC) in order to develop qualified specialists to work in the content software industry. SMEC is designed to keep pace with the continuing evolution of the field, and its goal is to train students to develop the high-tech applications of tomorrow in areas such as gaming, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, augmented reality, and online music. 

To provide specialized job training, SMEC is initially offering four courses: Game Planning, Digital Storytelling, Game Software Development, and Game Graphics and Webtoons. In each course, students complete a hands-on project while also learning about technology commercialization. In addition to bolstering student resumes for the job market, the courses are intended to be recognized as professional experience by companies. To this end, students in SMEC will be able to acquire official certificates in game planning, game graphics, game programming, multimedia content, and computer utilization.
