—YSB Professors to Provide Training for Company Employees

The Yonsei School of Business (YSB) has signed an MOU paving the way for an educational partnership with the Indian Company Mahindra and Mahindra Limited (M&M). As part of the agreement, YSB professors will provide business training to employees and managers of M&M, a multinational automobile manufacturing corporation.  In particular, the training will involve lectures focusing on business administration case studies drawn from Korea and elsewhere in Asia.

M&M already has educational partnerships with several prestigious institutions in the United States, but Yonsei is the first Korean university to enter into an agreement with the company. In the future, M&M hopes to offer internship opportunities for students from YSB. M&M possesses assets worth $16.5 billion, and it has a business presence in more than 100 countries worldwide. In 2013, the corporation won the Boldness in Business Award and the Emerging Market Award from the Financial Times.

YSB, with its century-long history, has been recognized internationally for its unique programs and global competitiveness. The school is accredited by America’s Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International), the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), and the Korea Association of Business Education Accreditation (KABEA). In their most recent rankings, both the Financial Times and The Economist listed YSB among the world’s top 100 MBA programs.

According to Rajeev Dubey, M&M group president for HR and Corporate Services and CEO of the Aftermarket Sector: “Korea’s brand name is increasing every day. Korea’s success is due to deep interest in and application of education. We are proud and happy to have a partnership with Yonsei University, which is Korea’s top private university.”

YSB Dean Kim Dong-hoon stated: “India is one of the world’s most important emerging markets. The world is focused on India right now, and Mahindra is a top corporation. This collaboration will create an opportunity for Korea’s business administration models to be transferred to India. It will also pave the way for more opportunities in the future. Many countries are interested in Korean-style corporate management, and Yonsei is prepared to share its knowledge and experience of business administration with the world.”
