Yonsei Ranked 190th in the World by Britain’s Times Higher Education

Yonsei University was ranked 190th in the World University Rankings conducted by the British magazine Times Higher Education (THE).  Announced October 2, THE rated Yonsei 17th in Asia and 4th in Korea.
 Seoul National University (SNU) was the highest ranked university in Korea (44th), followed by KAIST (56th) and POSTECH (60th).  Both SNU and KAIST were ranked higher than last year, while Yonsei and POSTECH saw their rankings drop.  Other Korean universities appearing in the THE rankings were Korea University (209th) and Sungkyunkwan University (220th).
  Overall, CalTech took first place for the third consecutive year, while Harvard and Oxford shared second place, and Stanford and MIT rounded out the top five.  Among Asian institutions, Tokyo University was the highest ranked (23rd), followed closely by the National University of Singapore (26th).
