On September 16th, GSIS and KINAC (President, Chang Sang-ku) signed an MOU for cooperation through systematic education and research in the area of nuclear energy control with the goal of nuclear nonproliferation in the Korean peninsula and the international society. Both institutes agreed to cooperate in various ways such as developing programs and textbooks for nuclear nonproliferation education, providing information related to nuclear nonproliferation and nuclear energy control, providing expertise on the nuclear status of neighboring powers such as North Korea and China, and co-hosting multilateral talks on nuclear nonproliferation.
