Already in 2009, the cumulative number of Yonsei students who passed the CPA exam since 1992 exceeded 2,000 and is 2,326 as of now. Yonsei is the only school with more than 2,000 students passing the CPA exam. Yonsei’s CPA alumni held an event at the Plaza Hotel on September 2nd to congratulate those who passed this year’s CPA exam. During the event, alumni president Kwon Seung-hwa (CEO of Ernst & Young), said, “I thank the students who have studied hard enough to be here and the professors at Yonsei’s business school who have guided you well throughout.” President Kwon added that the students should be familiar with new trends, build rich social networks, and value quality over quantity.
