The Yonsei Fall 2011 Commencement was held on August 29 in the main auditorium. A total of 2,751 degrees were awarded, with 1,010 bachelor’s, 1,546 master’s, 13 research, and 182 doctoral degrees given out. Yonsei President Kim Han-joong asked the graduates to always retain their critical intellect and become leaders who dream of a better world. In his congratulatory remark on the day, Yonsei President Kim Han-joong urged the graduates to “become leaders of globalization that is aligned with the peace and development of all of humanity instead of globalization that feeds the greediness of a few. He also urged the graduates to maintain perseverance in the face of difficulties in order to realize their dreams, to have the ability to think systematically in order to analyze and solve problems, and to become “global citizens” who work together to overcome global challenges. Many parents, graduates, and staff members of the school attended the ceremony to celebrate the new journey that the graduates have embarked upon.
