The two Vice Presidents of the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia (UB), Ricky Cheng and Betty Cernol-McCann, visited Yonsei University on October 29th. Located in New York, UB operates as both a programmatic and grant-making organization that supports institutions of higher education in Asian countries. In Korea, Yonsei has developed the strongest partnership with UB, awarded with the largest financial support. After Chairman Patricia Stranahan’s visit earlier this year, this is UB’s second visit. The two Vice Presidents met with Yonsei President Kim Han-joong, Head of the Yonsei University Health System Lee Cheol, Vice President for University Planning and Development Kim Jeong-oh, and Vice President for International Affairs Kim Dong-hoon; and discussed student talent-fostering programs and donations such as the Annual Endowment Grant. They also took a look around Yonsei-Samsung Library and Severance Hospital, saying how impressed they were by the latest technology and systems adopted.
