The Yonsei University soccer team took first place in the 2010 Korea Football Association U League Tournament. In the match with Kyunghee University on November 5th, Yonsei’s Kim Shin-cheol scored a winning goal 33 minutes in the second period, leading the team to a 1-0 victory. The MVP award winner, team captain Lee Won-kyu said, “As a team, the members played their best in every single match. This will be the most memorable event in my college life. I believe the players were able to focus on the matches because we did not have to miss any classes during the tournament.” The matches for the U league tournament are arranged once a week so that the student players do not miss a whole week of classes.
