From May 11 to 13, various events and activities took place around campus. In front of the Engineering Research Center, the ‘Yonsei Joint Film Festival’ was held in partnership with the film clubs on campus. Some events were organized for and by the international students at Yonsei. On May 11 and 12, the ‘Country Fair & Food Festival’ offered diverse culture exhibitions and food stands of about 20 countries, including the United States, China, Japan, India and Pakistan. There was also the ‘International Student Korean Song Singing Contest’ that took place near the Hangeul (Korean alphabet) Monument. On the last day of the festival, AKARAKA—the university’s cheerleading squad—staged ‘Rebirth & Reverse 2010’ in the Amphitheater. The whole campus glowed with Yonseians’ hearty shouts and routines along with congratulatory stages by popular singers.
