20% of the students of the College of Pharmacy from Incheon city Yonsei University will recruit 20% of the students of the College of Pharmacy on International Campus from Incheon city citizens. So out of the total 25 students, five graduates of a high school in Incheon city will be admitted every year. Also, upon recommendation of the mayor of Incheon, two students from families in need will be selected (out-of-quota) and supplied with full-scholarships funded by the ‘One Mind Scholarship’, a scholarship created by the University staff and faculty. All students on International Campus will be required to participate in community outreach programs. These programs will include activities such as teaching at after-school classes and helping people in nursing homes and welfare facilities. A University staff recently commented, “Yonsei University will not allow students of good high school grades from a few particular areas to monopolize educational opportunities. Yonsei is trying to nurture students who serve for their community in accordance with the concept of ‘Community Based Learning’ and to promote capabilities in global education and research.”
