On 30 March, the funeral Eucharist for Lee Chun-hwan was celebrated at the Seoul Cathedral Anglican Church of Korea. He was the first Korean bishop of the Anglican Church of Korea and was a former chairman of the Yonsei University Foundation. Born in Jeollabuk-do Jeongeup in 1922, Lee Chun-hwan was ordained as priest in 1953 and graduated Canterbury Christ Church University in 1959. Among other honors, in 1974 he was awarded the Honorary Order of the British Queen, and in 1985 the Order of Civil Merit.
