Lecture on 'Wise Life at Yonsei' for Incoming Freshmen
On March 27th, the University College (Dean Cho Yong Soo) arranged a special lecture through the Residential College (RC) for a meeting between President Dong-Sup Yoon and incoming freshmen.
Prior to the lecture, President Yoon visited the construction site of the International Campus Quantum Computer, K-NIBRT Practice Education Center, Songdo Dormitory, etc., to inspect the current status of the International Campus and engage in in-depth conversations with relevant parties.
The RC special lecture, held in the Multipurpose Hall on the 3rd floor of the International Campus General Education Hall, was attended by over 580 incoming freshmen, as well as Senior Vice President of International Campus Lee Jong Soo, Director Jae Ho Cheong of the YSP Promotion Headquarters, Dean Cho Yong Soo of the University College, and Director Chun Kwang Min of the Residential College Center, among other 30 guests. Dean Cho Yong Soo welcomed the packed auditorium of incoming freshmen with warm greetings and words of encouragement, introducing President Dong-Sup Yoon as the keynote speaker of the lecture.
President Dong-Sup Yoon shared the history, vision, and personal experiences of our university under the theme of 'Wise Life at Yonsei' for about an hour. Following this, there was a 30-minute Q&A session discussing students' future plans and offering advice.
After the lecture, President Dong-Sup Yoon participated in the tradition of the RC lecture, the 'Yonsei Jumper Dress Ceremony,' taking group photos with the students.
Meanwhile, the Residential College Center of the University College conducts approximately 700 programs annually, including RC common programs and RC house programs, for over 4,800 incoming freshmen, providing creative community education. -
