The world's best conference in engineering and computer science

A total of 14 papers based on the results of recent research by the Yonsei Signature Research Cluster Project Group were approved to be published in the IEEE/CVF Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR 2023). The project group is intensively supported by Yonsei University. Of those 14 papers, 11 are from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, while the other three are from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. As such, the excellence of Yonsei University's artificial intelligence research groups has been proven globally.

CVPR, with its Google Scholar h5-index of 389, is the best international conference in artificial intelligence and computer vision, ranking first in all SCI journals and conferences in engineering. It is hosted by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Computer Vision Foundation (CVF). It is the best academic conference that many prestigious universities, such as Stanford, UC Berkeley, and MIT, and world-renowned companies, such as Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Amazon, participate in yearly to prove their excellence.

Meanwhile, Professor Seon Joo Kim (Computer Science and Engineering) of this research group has been selected as a 2003 Underwood Special Professor at Yonsei University, and Professor Dosik Hwang (Electrical and Electronic Engineering) won the Best Professor Award in 2022.
