On March 18, Yonsei signed an MOU to become a partner in the “Campus Food Truck Project.” The project, which gives young entrepreneurs the opportunity to start a business by running a food truck on their university campus, is the result of collaboration between the Presidential Committee on Young Generation, four companies, and three different universities. Vehicles for the project will be supplied by Hyundai Motor Company, while hands-on training, business models, and other support will be given by Coffine Gurunaru, Jawsfood, and Genesis BBQ. Yonsei will provide space and facilities for the food trucks at the International Campus in Songdo, while Konkuk University and Sogang University will do the same on their Seoul campuses.

In cooperation with the corporate sponsors and universities, participants in the Campus Food Truck Project will develop detailed management plans covering the size of the food truck, the items sold, and their prices. The project is set to be implemented on the three campuses in late May. In his remarks, President Jeong Kap-young said: “I hope that the food truck project becomes a successful model for other universities, organizations, and young people, offering a way to start a business with little capital.”
