[INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS] Yonsei-Keio Strategic Partnership Agreement

On May 24th, Yonsei President Jeong Kap-young and his delegation visited Keio University. Upon signing the Yonsei-Keio Strategic Partnership Agreement, the two universities have agreed to construct a new consortium that holds annual president meetings and leads exchange programs with East Asian universities. In celebration of the agreement, a document illuminating the various activities between the two universities since their academic exchange agreement in 1970 has been put together. The visiting party also attended the opening ceremony of the Yonsei Tokyo Office which locates in Keio University. While attendees from Yonsei University include Yonsei President Jeong Kap-young, Dean of Underwood International College Park Hyung-ji, Dean of Academic Affairs Jung In-kwon, and Dean of International Affairs Mo Jong-rin, attendees from Keio University include Vice President of Keio University Naoyuki Agawa, Assistant Administrator of Yonsei Tokyo Office Saya Goto, and President of Yonsei Tokyo Alumni Association Lee So-gu. The Yonsei Tokyo Office will enable Yonsei to attract outstanding international students, promote public relations, foster international educational programs for both locals and domestic students, and conduct alumni management more effectively. President Jeong Kap-young was also present at the Yonsei-Ritsumeikan Global Educational Forum. Ritsumeikan University, with its foundation of the first international university in Japan—Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, is a leading global educational institution in Asia that currently operates nine overseas branches. President Jeong discussed possible measures to expand the cooperation with Ritsumeikan University in international education.
