This coming spring semester ‘Yonsei Hawking’ Shin Hyung-jin will be entering the master’s and doctoral combined program in Computer Science. After his graduation in nine years last winter, he worked at the Software Application Research Center at his alma mater. Despite his challenges with spinal muscular atrophy, Hyung-jin has worked hard for his education and responsibilities at the research center. According to his mother Lee Won-ok, Hyung-jin decided to study in graduate school because he continuously realized the need for professionalism in his area in order to conduct research. On December 31st, Hyung-jin posted on his blog and twitter: I hope for bright and positive changes in 2012 to myself and all the people to whom I am grateful for their kindness and support.
