The delegates from Zhejiang University in China, including the President Yang Wei, visited Yonsei University on April 7. The visit was organized for an exchange agreement between the two universities, including student and faculty exchange and joint research. Located in Zhejiang province, Zhejiang University was first established in 1897. The former colleges—Zhejiang College, Hang Zhou College and Zhejiang Agricultural College—were incorporated in September 1998 as the present Zhejiang University. With 39,000 students, 8,400 faculty and staff and over 5.1 million library books, Zhejiang University also runs 6 affiliated hospitals in the Zhejiang province.
