Yonsei wins the first place two years in a row in the National Model United Nations Conference Yonsei University won the first prize in the 2010 National Model United Nations Conference. The Yonsei Delegation for Model United Nations (YDMUN) participated in the 2010 National Model United Nations Conference in New York from March 28 to April 1, and took the first place “Outstanding Delegation”—two years in a row. With a history of over 60 years, the National Model United Nations Conference is held by the National Collegiate Conference Association (NCCA), a non-profitable organization. Every year around March and April, over 3000 students from 300 schools in 40 countries gather for this event. The student delegations are assigned to represent different UN member countries. As UN ambassadors, they write resolutions or reports for the country they represent; and the team that delivers their country’s position on the given agenda most diplomatically wins the first prize. With last year’s victory, by bringing the first place award again this year, the 6th team of YDMUN elevated the name of Yonsei in the global community—again.
