Japanese foreign minister Katsuya Okada visited Yonsei University on February 11. It was the first time for foreign minister of Japan to visit the campus. Minister Okada visited the office of university president Kim Han-joong and shared thoughts on international cooperation. The minister also visited Yonsei's ILRE (Institute of Language Research and Education) to visit Korean class where Japanese students are learning Korean and had a meeting with the students. Minister Okada's visit was finished with another meeting with Japanese students and Korean residents in Japan and photocall.
