A New Program Where Students Earn Credits at All Three Universities The Korea-China-Japan three-way shuttle had previously been provided by airlines, but now a three-way university exchange program has been introduced. The Yonsei Underwood International College (UIC) has begun to offer an exchange program in which a total of 16 students from the three universities of Yonsei, Keio, and Hong Kong become a team and study at each university for one year each. Keio University of Japan will be giving each student scholarships of 200,000 yen, and the University of Hong Kong will waive the dormitory fees. Yonsei University is considering this waiver also. Currently, six students are participating, but this number will gradually be increased to 10 and up to a maximum of 30, to make this program the foremost exchange program of East Asia. This new program has joined UIC’s formidable group of exchange programs, which includes the Emory Dual Degree Program, the Geneva International Organization Exchange Program, and the Dartmouth Ivy League Exchange Program. Before the official commencement of the program, administrative official of Yonsei, including Dean Lee Jung-Hoon of UIC, visited Keio University on September 25 to participate in the ceremony announcing the program. The ceremony included a three-way lecture of the three university presidents, the awarding of scholarships, and a dinner hosted by the Korean embassy in Japan. On September 24, the presidents of the three universities visited Japanese high schools to explain the exchange program and invite students to apply to each university.
