Yonsei Brings Prehistoric Korea to France

-Special Exhibition on Prehistoric Korean Culture Opens

An exhibition on prehistoric Korean culture organized by the Yonsei University Museum has opened in France. The special exhibition is being shown at the Tautavel Museum of Prehistory in southern France until March 31. Between April 9 and August 23, it will be held at the Museum of Mankind in Paris. This is the first time that such prehistoric artifacts from Korea have been exhibited in France.

In all, the exhibition contains forty-eight artifacts, of which thirty come from Yonsei’s museum; a number of replica fossils are also being displayed, with many coming from the European Center for Research on Prehistory. The organizers hope that the exhibition will help to spur greater interest in the origins of Korean culture and lead to further research.
