Article by Professor Kim Dong-ho’s Research Team Graces Back Cover of Angewandte Chemie
- Research Suggests Concepts for More Efficient Use of Solar Energy
- Could Be Applied to Next Generation Display Technology
Yonsei Department of Chemistry Professor Kim Dong-ho and PhD student Sung Joo-young had their article, “S2 Fluorescence Dynamics of meso-Aryl-Substituted Subporphyrins,” published in the November 25, 2013 issue of the prestigious scientific journal Angewandte Chemie International Edition (IF 13.734). Written in collaboration with a research team from Kyoto University in Japan, the article appeared on the back cover of the journal. Professor Kim’s and Sung’s research into fluorescence dynamics suggests certain concepts for more effectively producing and using solar energy, and the results, the authors explain, could be applied to technologies such as solar energy conversion, light kinetic treatment, and next generation display.
