“It’s -13°c, but let’s make it a warm Christmas Eve.” On December 24th, in the severe cold, around 40 Yonsei students visited “Happy Town,” a welfare center for the disabled in Incheon. The students delivered presents and spent a heart-warming Christmas Eve at the center. A student said, “I was wandering what I should do this Christmas and decided to volunteer. I hesitated a little because I had to pay a participation fee, but I feel that the time I spent here is worth much more than that. It was the most meaningful Christmas Eve and I hope to be able to take part again next year.” Happy Town and Yonsei Volunteer Service Center have continued ties since the first project 4 years ago when people at Happy Town were invited to enjoy a baseball match at the Yon-Ko Games with Yonsei students. This year’s Christmas Eve event was an opportunity to realize the true meaning and joy of sharing.
