Globalympics Held

-Promoting Cultural Exchange with Sports

On May 21 and 22, the Globalympics were held on the Sinchon Campus. Combining “global” and “Olympics,” the event was designed to facilitate cultural exchange through sports popular in a many different countries around the world. More than 500 students participated in Globalympics, taking part in activities such as taekwondo, golf, rowing, boxing, fencing, and soccer.  

According to Yonsei Global, which organized the Globalympics, “the participants were quite satisfied with the athletic events and the sports equipment that was provided.” Globalympics was the most recent installment of Global Day, which seeks to promote active cultural exchange among domestic and international Yonsei students. Global Day events take place twice a year.
