Commencement Ceremony in February 2010 The commencement ceremony for Spring 2010 was held on various locations around campus from Feb 19 to Feb 25 by each college, graduate school and professional school. A total of 5,178 graduates (from Sinchon campus) were awarded their degrees, with 3,053 bachelors, 1,818 Masters, 297 doctorates and 10 researchers graduating. University President Kim Han-joong attended the commencement ceremonies of College of Social Science, Graduate School and Graduate School of Public Health. In his speech for the graduates, President Kim asked them not to forget 'their calling' in their future career. He bade the graduates to use their talents for their own neighbors, fellow citizens and global issues, saying that "Yonsei is an institution that was born by, grown through and has existed for the calling," and that the graduates were "called to become the participants of the calling when they entered Yonsei." As they leave Yonsei, they should carry that calling with them, President Kim said.
