Merit-based Scholarships for International Students 2019.04.16

  • Criteria: international students who are currently enrolled and have outstanding grades

  • Application

    Application period: End of May, End of November

Submit an application form to the Office of Student Affairs and Services

  • Payment: Made to student bank account.

  • Scholarship standard 1

    The student took a total of 12 credits or more in the preceding semester and maintained a GPA of 4.0 (on a 4.3 scale) or higher

  • Scholarship 1

    Full tuition waiver

    ※ Does not include students enrolled in the Wonju College of Medicine

  • Scholarship standard 2

    The student took a total of 12 credits or more in the preceding semester and maintained a GPA of 3.7 (on a 4.3 scale) or higher

  • Scholarship 2

    Two-thirds of tuition waiver

    ※ Does not include students enrolled in the Wonju College of Medicine

  • Scholarship standard 3

    The student took a total of 12 credits or more in the preceding semester and maintained a GPA of 3.3 (on a 4.3 scale) or higher

  • Scholarship 3

    Half tuition waiver

    ※ Does not include students enrolled in the Wonju College of Medicine

  • Scholarship standard 4

    The student took a total of 12 credits or more in the preceding semester and maintained a GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.3 scale) or higher

  • Scholarship 4

    One-third of tuition waiver

    ※ Does not include students enrolled in the Wonju College of Medicine

  • Common standard

    Incoming and transfer students cannot apply for this scholarship in their first semester.

Receiving benefits from more than one of the Scholarship Based on Entrance Scores for Korean Freshmen, the Scholarship for Freshmen with Excellent Korean Language Ability, the Special Scholarship for Korean Language Education, the Scholarship Based on Entrance Scores for Foreign Nationals, and the Scholarship for Excellent Korean Language Ability is not permitted. Students who would be awarded two or more of the preceding scholarships shall instead receive the greatest single scholarship value.
