Dramatic comeback over rivals Korea University... Winning the title for the first in fifteen years
On August 29, 2021, the Yonsei University baseball team won the 55th President’s Flag National University Baseball Championship, by defeating Korea University 7-6 in the final, held at Hoengseong Baseball Park. It was a very dramatic game. Team Yonsei were losing 5-6 until two outs in the top of the 9th inning, but a two-run homer overturned the game 7-6. As a result, the Yonsei baseball team completed six wins and no losses in this President’s Flag tournament, and achieved winning the title for the first time in fifteen years since 2006. Including this year, Team Yonsei have won the President’s Flag nine times.
