Academic Advising for Academic Warning Recipients 2020.07.22

Students admitted to Yonsei University are inherently outstanding students with excellent academic qualities. The students' academic decline is usually due not to inaptitude but other various reasons: failure to overcome the differences in studying techniques between high school and college, neglecting one's studies after choosing an incompatible major, economic difficulties, and psychological factors such as anxiety and depression.

Students may well feel dispirited after receiving an academic warning and may have a difficult time recovering in time for the next academic term. We hope to analyze and understand the reasons for poor academic performance in order to better assist the students' adjustment to university life. Therefore, students who receive an academic warning should follow the guidelines below. They should attend an interview with the academic advisor or the department chair before beginning course enrollment. These steps are taken to promote the welfare and happiness of Yonsei students and we hope you will take advantage of the programs offered.
