"After having finished high school, I knew I wanted to try exploring the world a bit more and so I started to search for study opportunities abroad. When I lived and studied in the United Kingdom, I met some friends who helped me research various universities and scholarship opportunities in Europe, Asia, and the United States. In the end, I decided to pursue my bachelor’s degree at Yonsei University because of my interest in Comparative Literature and Culture (CLC) as a major and as I was able to receive a generous scholarship from Underwood International College.
My CLC major has a wonderful blend of all the themes that I am interested in, such as film, philosophy, and psychology. CLC is not just about reading a lot of books but also thinking critically about the underlining meanings behind those texts and learning about breaking up your stereotypes.
It is not only my major that I appreciate about Yonsei University but also the school environment itself, especially the different people I get to meet at Yonsei. My first moments in Korea spent at Yonsei International Campus (YIC) in Songdo, were much easier than I expected as I was lucky enough to meet amazing roommates and make many great memories together with them. Even though I was afraid of the dorm-life, I think the Residential College program for all first years can help most international students make friends more quickly and get accustomed to the pace of life in Korea. Additionally, I also love the beauty and the diverse feel of the Sinchon Campus, where I was able to meet a lot of amazingly talented people from all around the globe.
I deeply value my time in Korea and wish to introduce more people to this country as it truly is. Thus, I have been making YouTube videos and writing on my blog to share my experiences of studying abroad and living as a foreigner in Korea. I enjoy helping others from various parts of the world to get a better idea of UIC and Seoul college life. Though my efforts are small, I hope that more people, especially those who like me always want to learn more about the world, can see more of the diverse Korean culture and maybe take the opportunity to study at Yonsei University."

Underwood International College (UIC) is a highly selective, four-year liberal arts college within Yonsei University, combining the intimate learning environment of an American-style liberal arts college with the faculty and resources of Korea’s leading private research university.
