“I came to study abroad at Yonsei at the recommendation of friends who had studied at Yonsei and had a great time here, and I wanted to come to Korea because I have a lot of Korean friends and I had wanted to visit Seoul. One of my favorite experiences during my semester here so far has been the UCEAP-sponsored trip to Busan. Our group took the KTX train to Busan, where we spent several days visiting the temples, the skywalk and the pretty beaches.
As a civil engineering major interested in natural landscapes, I am enjoying discussions with other students in my environmental planning class as well as my visits to national parks such as Bukhan Mountain and also Yeouido Hangang Park during the spring flowers festival. There is so much to see in Seoul; Korean subway system is easy to use to get around, and I love Korean food. Study abroad is definitely something undergraduates should experience, and both Yonsei and the city of Seoul have a lot to offer.”
